Orb Spider
Orb Weavers make two dimensional, circular shaped webs. This is one of the most recognizable types of webs, which can span up to 8 inches, and consists of a stretchy spiral silk. The orb web is specifically engineered to capture flying insects. The preying insect that is captured by the sticky lines is hit with a swift bite, and then wrapped in silk. They are well known because they grow to be large, prominent, and bright. Most orb weavers tend to be active during the night; in hiding for most of the day. They are often found in gardens, fields and forests
