The Human flea is thought to only target humans. This specific flea grows about 1/16″ of an inch, is also drawn to other domesticated animals, such as swine. An adult Human flea can live up to three months without food. Female fleas lay their eggs where they sleep, generally in hair, clothing, bedding and under carpets. With the sufficient amount of moisture and food, they have a life span of about 1 1/2 years.
