- Color: light brown to black, with a lighter colored underbelly
- Description: Has short hair on its 2-3 inch long body, a scaly tail that is longer than its body, large ears and small, black eyes
- Concerns: The House Mouse can breed rapidly and adapt to changing conditions, thus a single pair of mice can quickly grow into an infestation. They can carry fleas, mites, ticks and lice into your home – and can get in through holes as small as 1/4 inch. They carry or cause disease, such as Salmonella food poisoning.
- Signs of Infestation: Mice have no bladder control, so they continually excrete droplets of urine and feces as they roam about your house. Mice will eat and contaminate your food, gnaw on clothing, furniture, books – or even the structure itself. Their gnawing on electrical wires can cause fires or operational failure of appliances.
